Describe a difficult situation that impacted your business…

Ten years ago, I closed down my counseling private practice because I had completely lost my path personally. It was one of the hardest things I had ever done. However, I found myself in chronic pain, overweight, and depressed. I was taking care of everybody else but myself. I needed to find my way back to myself.

How are you overcoming this adversity..?

In the last 9 years, I have worked as a health coach for a corporation. I took my time away from the counseling space to harness my coaching skills. I also learned to prioritize my personal well-being by adopting healthy habits of daily self-care. These days, I listen to my needs and wants. I learned to take care of my health. I am brave enough to follow my dreams. I recently published my first personal development book, Breaking Free. I have learned that I am a better mom, wife, friend, and coach when my cup is full.

Last year, I launched, Diana Guintu Speaks, a coaching business, to empower other women to learn to prioritize their personal wellness and create the life they dream of. I want to help women find their way back to their best self!

What is your advice to other women experiencing similar adversity?

Start to take better care of your personal well-being. Everything becomes so much better when you have a clear mind and healthy body. Don’t give up on yourself just because things don’t look like you think they should right now. Break it down in small steps and just start. You are capable of more than you think.

How has adversity changed how you see yourself, your clients, and the way you do business?

People are strong. We can overcome anything we put our mind and heart to. The only thing we need is the willingness to do it.

Everything is happening perfectly.
